CHEERLEADING PLACES FIRST FOR GNAC, SECOND IN DIVISION

The Mount Ida College cheerleading squad placed first in the New England Cheer competition for the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) competing against fellow league members Johnson & Wales University and Emmanuel College.  The Mustangs also captured a second place finish competing in the co-ed division at the Reggie Lewis Center in Boston, Massachusetts Saturday evening.  Other schools that competed out of the GNAC were the University of Rhode Island and Westfield State University.

“The team did an amazing job at Saturday's competition,” said second year head coach Stephanie Lineman.  “I couldn't have asked for a better performance, they did exactly what we set out to do by bringing home first and second place. They should all be very proud of themselves as I am of them.”

Congratulations to the Cheerleading team on this wonderful accomplishment!
