Cheerleading Wins Second Competition of 2016

WOBURN, Mass. -- The Mount Ida College Cheerleaders took home 1st place in the Division 3 Co-Ed category at Saturday's competition at Woburn High School, hosted by Bravo All-Stars in Wilmington, MA.

The Mustangs improved on a fifth place performance from last week, with an increased squad and great execution on their routine.

"This week we were able to add Katy Martin back in the routine, who has been out with mono for the past month and a half, so our difficulty scores were able to go up a little from last week's competition," said first year head coach Lindsay Smith.

"I am proud of this team with adjusting to minor changes in just a few days. In 2 weeks we have our last competition so all we need to focus on is cleaning it up and add our 2 and a half high pyramid!"

That final competition on April 16th will be held at the University of New Hampshire's Whittemore Center Arena.
