Mount Ida junior attack Kyle Ton was named as the Great Northeast Athletic Conference Corvias Men’s Lacrosse Player of the Week for the second time this season on Monday after collecting 17 points in three outings for the Mustangs last week.
Ton, a native of Norwich, Conn. and a graduate of Norwich Free Academy, netted 12 goals and five assists to become the 21st member of Mount Ida’s 100 Point Club, including a hat trick and three helpers in a 6-5 victory over Johnson & Wales in the regular season finale last Wednesday evening at Alumni Field. Kyle added four tallies and an assist in a 13-12 setback at Lasell last Monday while netting five goals and a helper in Saturday’s 14-8 GNAC quarterfinal round setback to Johnson & Wales.
Ton, who also copped the GNAC Corvias Player of the Week accolade back on March 19th, finished the season with 42 goals and 21 assists for 63 points to rank second in the league in both goals and points. He helped lead Head Coach Andrew Fink’s squad to a 7-2 conference mark and a berth in the GNAC quarterfinals.
