    NEWTON, Mass. -- The Mount Ida men's soccer team fell 3-1 in Great Northeast Athletic Conference quarterfinal action to the Regis (Mass.) Pride on a cold and rainy afternoon at Alumni Field. The Mustangs finish the season at 8-8-2 overall and 5-5-1 in GNAC play. 
  • Mustangs Downed by Non-Conference Foe Pine Manor

    CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. -- Mount Ida's men's soccer struggled in non-conference action Tuesday afternoon as they fell to the host Pine Manor Gators 3-1 at Hedley Field. Despiting tying the score just before half, the Mustangs were unable to tighten their defense and keep out the pesky attack of the Gators, giving up two second half goals. 
  • Men's Soccer to Host Pride in GNAC Postseason Action, Fall to Monks

    STANDISH, Maine -- A big second half from Brett Mattos (Mahopac, N.Y.) and the Saint Joseph's (Me.) Monks took down the visiting Mount Ida Mustangs in Saturday afternoon action at the SJC Athletic Complex. The Monks remain undefeated in Great Northeast Athletic Conference play and move to 15-0-1 overall and 9-0-1 in conference play, while the Mustangs fall to 8-6-2 overall and 5-4-1 in GNAC action. 
  • Mustangs, Cadets Play to 1-1 Draw

    NEWTON, Mass. -- The Mount Ida men's soccer team rallied from an early deficit and played the visiting Norwich Cadets to a 1-1 tie in Great Northeast Athletic Conference action at Alumni Field on Wednesday night. The Mustangs celebrated senior night prior to the game, celebrating the careers of Riley Ford (Guilderland, N.Y.), Christian Martins (Westbrook, Conn.), Rob McClafferty (Abington, Mass.), Cody Seel (Petersburg, N.Y.), and Jeremy Sayers (Portsmouth, N.H.). 
  • Saints Overcome Early Deficit to Down Mustangs

    BOSTON, Mass. -- Mount Ida was unable to hold onto an early 1-0 lead and was tripped up in a rain-soaked match against Emmanuel College and fell to the Saints 4-1 in Great Northeast Athletic Conference action at Roberto Clemente Field. The Mustangs fall to 8-5-1 overall and 5-3 in GNAC action, while the Saints move to 2-6-6 overall and 2-2-4 in conference play. 
  • Mustangs and Falcons Play to 1-1 Tie in Non-Conference Competition

    Medford, Mass. – Non-conference action between the Mount Ida College Mustangs and the Fisher Falcons saw the two teams play to a 1-1 tie at Hormel Stadium on Wednesday night. Neither team was able to capitalize on a number of scoring opportunities in the overtime periods and the game ended with a tie for both squads.
  • Santos Leads the Mustangs Offense Past Anna Maria

    Paxton, Mass. -- Freshman Jonathan Santos (Kearny, N.J.) scored four goals and junior Juan Brenes (Santo Domingo, D.R.) added two goals and an assist Saturday afternoon as Mount Ida College defeated Anna Maria College, 7-1, in a Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) men’s soccer clash at AMCAT Field. The Mustangs used a dominant offensive effort to move to 8-4 overall and 5-2 in conference play, while the AMCATs fall to 1-10-1 overall and 0-7 in GNAC action. 
  • Schneider's Two Goals Down Mustangs

    NEWTON, Mass. -- The Mustangs were unable to add to their four-game conference win streak as the visiting Johnson & Wales (RI.) Wildcats took down Mount Ida 2-0 in Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) play at Alumni Field. Wildcats sophmore Erik Schneider (Plantsville, CT) notched his first two goals of the season as the Wildcats move to 9-1-1 over and 4-1-1 in conference play, while the Mustangs drop to 7-4 overall and 4-2 in the conference.

    NEWTON, MA -- Junior Julio Barroso (Central Falls, RI) scored his first goal of the season and freshman Ethan Sweet (Clarement, NH) added an insurance goal to lead the Mustangs to a 2-1 victory over the visiting Rivier Raiders in Great Northeast Athletic Conference play on a cold night at Alumni Field.

    NEWTON, Mass. – Mount Ida College continues to win at Alumni Field, and junior Juan Brenes (Santo Domingo, D.R.) has been a big reason why.Brenes scored for the sixth straight home game, and his tally in double overtime on Wednesday night gave Mount Ida a 2-1 win over visiting Albertus Magnus, improving the Mustangs to 5-1 at home and 6-3 overall.
