Mustangs Run at Corsair Invitational

DARTMOUTH, Mass. – The Mount Ida College men's and women's cross country teams continued their 2015 season on Saturday afternoon, taking on the large field at the UMass Dartmouth Corsairs Invitational.

The men's team took a 42nd place finish, while the women's team placed 43rd in a very difficult field from all across the region.

Jabari Bradley (Amityville, N.Y.) paced the men's team, placing 299th with a time of 35:04.48. Just behind Bradley was senior Gordon Haner (Mount Sinai, N.Y.), who finished the 8k course in 35:21.87.

On the women's side, junior Chevona Markel (Torrington, Conn.) ran the 5k course in 25:45.93, good for a 286th place showing. She was followed by senior Jordawn Moses (Arlington, Mass.), who crossed the finish line in 28:07.24.

The cross country teams are back on the course next weekend when they travel to Chicopee, Mass. for the Elms College Invitational.
