Cross Country Finishes Season at GNAC Championships

BOSTON, Mass. -- Mount Ida College's men's and women's cross country teams closed out their 2016 season on Saturday afternoon by running at the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) championships, hosted by a trio of local schools at Franklin Park.

The men's team took a seventh place finish, while the women's team only had four runners and did not figure into the final team standings.

Ryan Burch (Greenwich, N.Y.) just barely missed out on a second team All-Conference selection, finishing 18th with a time of 28:25, four spots from earning an All-League spot.

Senior Jabari Bradley (Amityville, N.Y.) finished out a strong Mustang career with a 44th place showing (31:12), while Cody B urdick (Saratoga Springs, N.Y.), Cole Davis (Chester, N.H.), and Tommy Thompson (Schuylerville, N.Y.) rounded out the scoring runners for the Mustangs.

Liz Baker (Mendon, Mass.) paced the Mount Ida women with an 86th place finish, in a time of 27:11, and Samantha O'Toole (Hudson, Mass.) and Sydney Bryk (Newbury, N.H.) took 90th and 91st, respectively, while Sam Laferriere (Tewksbury, Mass.) ran her race in 29:32.
