Women's Basketball Welcomes Back Past Mustang Greats For Annual Alumni Game Event

The Mount Ida women’s basketball program welcomed back former Mustangs to campus last weekend for its annual alumni game inside the Athletic Center, as the 2017-18 squad bested a group comprised of nine alumni and former coaches by a 72-41 margin.

Members of this year’s team had the chance to interact with different generations and some former teammates during the day, which included the alumni contest and a post-game reception.  Head Coach Katie Greene and her staff took the opportunity to thank everyone in attendance for helping to build the Mount Ida program into what it is today as her squad sets its sights on Wednesday night’s season opener with Newbury.

Mustang alumni in attendance at the event were newly inducted Hall of Famer Jeileen Rivera ’11, Shannon Wood ’12, Alicia Ward ’14, Abbey Fedigan ’14, Allison O’Connor ’15, Katlyn Jesse ’17, Brittany Crosby ’17, Angelique Martinez ’17 and Maryssa Dwyer ’17 along with former Mount Ida Head Coach Jack Casey, who served as the program’s mentor from 2008-11.
