FRANKLIN, Mass. -- After suffering their first loss of the season in Florida, Mount Ida College women's lacrosse returned to the play that had started their season with three straight wins, blasting by Dean College 21-0 in non-conference action at Grant Field.
The Mustangs improve to 4-1 on the year, while Dean falls to 0-4.
Brook Scahill (Ledyard, Conn.) had 4 and 2, and senior Nicole Pavao (Peabody, Mass.) also had 3 goals and 1 assist. Annabelle Dentino (Maynard, Mass.) scored her first goal of the year to go with three assists, while Jess Henry (Wilbraham, Mass.) and Eleanor Garvey (Elkridge, Md.) split time in goal and also scored a goal each.
The Mustangs had a 33-2 edge in shots and won 18 draw controls, 14 of them by Scahill, just two shy of a program record.
First year Sara Hall (Barnegat, N.J.) also scored her first collegiate goal for the Mustangs, who next host Becker at 3:00 pm on Wednesday afternoon.
Briana Saunders led Dean with 5 ground balls. Kim Dickson and Nicole DeSisto both had one shot to lead the Bulldogs.
Dean is next in action on Wednesday night at Elms at 8:00.
