NEWTON, Mass. -- AnnaMarie Seiler (Biddeford, Maine) made eleven saves and played all 90 minutes and Mount Ida kept their third clean sheet in four games this year, blanking Becker College 2-0 in non-conference women's soccer action on Saturday afternoon.
Lacey Perry (Westport, Mass.) scored her team-leading third goal of the year and freshman Shannon Kelley (Bellingham, Mass.) added an insurance goal to put the game away with just under nine minutes remaining.
Perry scored the eventual game winner right before the hour mark, taking a short pass from Hailey Serino (Northwood, N.H.) and burying the shot in front of the net.
Junior goalie Jordyn Martel (Chicopee, Mass.) made three saves but took the loss for the Hawks. Lindsey Keith (Sutton, Mass.) had five shots for Becker, all of them on goal, but Seiler was up to the test as she earned the first individual shutout of the year for a Mount Ida keeper.
Mount Ida improves to 3-1 and will return home for a 7:00 pm game on September 13th against Rivier, with the Mustangs looking to improve on an 0-1 Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) record.
The Hawks (2-2), host Worcester State on Thursday at 6:00 pm, looking to snap a two-game skid.
