  • Reidy Named to First Team to Cap Off Tremendous Career

    NEWTON, Mass. -- Mount Ida women's volleyball senior outside hitter Mary Kate Reidy (Agawam, Mass.) was named to the Great Northeast Athletic Conference first team, capping off a terrific four-year career for the Green and White. Freshman Cassidy Bechtle (Henniker, N.H.) received recognition to the all-sportsmanship team in her first season. 
  • Mustangs Fall to 10th Ranked Wildcats in Playoff Action

    Providence, R.I. -- The Mount Ida women's volleyball team ended their terrific 2017 season Tuesday night when they fell in straight sets to 10th ranked Johnson & Wales (RI) in Great Northeast Athletic Conference playoff action. The Mustangs finished the season with a 20-17 (6-6) overall record, the most wins for the program since 2010. 
  • Women's Volleyball Honor Reidy on Senior Day, Splits Tri-Match Action

    NEWTON, Mass. -- The Mount Ida Mustangs welcomed the Monks of Saint Joseph’s (Me.) and the Wildcats of Johnson & Wales (RI) to the Mustang Athletic Center for the final regular season games in the Great Northeast Athletic Conference. Mount Ida split the day’s action, defeating the Monks 3-1 and falling to the 11th ranked Wildcats 3-0. Lone senior Mary Kate Reidy (Agawam, Mass.) was honored pregame for her four years of service to the Mustangs Volleyball team.
  • Non-Conference Actions Sees Lancers Down Mustangs in Straight Set

    WORCESTER, Mass. – Worcester State University’s Amari King (Lawrence, Mass.) and Stephanie Chapin (Hampden, Mass.) combined for 25 kills in the Lancers’ 3-0 (25-12, 25-16, 25-19) win over the Mount Ida Mustangs in a Thursday evening matchup inside the Lancer Gymnasium. 
  • Mustangs Overwhelm Vikings in Straight Sets

    NEWTON, Mass. -- The Mount Ida women's volleyball celebrated their "Dig Pink" night with a 3-0 straight set win over the visiting Salem State Viking on Tuesday night at the Mount Ida Athletic Center. The Mustangs move to 19-10 overall and remain at 5-5 in the Great Northeast Athletic Conference, while the Vikings fall to 11-13 overall and remain at 3-3 in MASCAC play.

    NEWTON, Mass. -- The Lasell women’s volleyball team powered to a 3-1 Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) victory against crosstown rival Mount Ida College Wednesday evening inside the Lasell Athletic Center. The Lasers move to 4-4 against league opponents and 10-17 overall, while the Mustangs drop to 4-4 in the GNAC and 17-9 this season.
  • Mustangs Continue to Impress as They Take Down AMCATs in Straight Sets

    PAXTON, Mass. -- Another straight-set victory and another GNAC win for Mount Ida women's volleyball team as the visiting Mustangs took down the Amcats of Anna Maria 25-13, 25-18, 25-17 on Saturday afternoon at the Fuller Center in Great Northeast Athletic Conference action. The Mustangs continue towards their first 20-win season since 2007 as they move to 17-8 overall and 4-3 in conference play, while Anna Maria falls to 4-16 overall and 1-7 in GNAC competition.

Blue Jays on Wednesday night in Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) play at Mount Ida Athletic Center.
  • Columbus Day Action Sees Mustangs take Straight Set Victory over Blazers

    CHICOPEE, Mass. -- Mount Ida cruised to a non-conference victory over Elms College on Columbus Day action at Picknelly Arena. The Mustangs took the victory in straight sets taking down the Blazers 26-24, 25-20, 26-24. The victory moves the Mustangs to 15-8 overall and 2-3 in GNAC action, while the Blazers fall to 11-9 and remain at 2-0 in NECC play. 
  • Mustangs Split Tri-Match Action with Suffolk and Framingham State

    NEWTON, Mass. -- The Mustangs split Saturday's double-header action as they fell to host Suffolk 3-2, but rallied to defeat non-conference foe Framingham State 3-1. Mount Ida put together some impressive stats on the day as sophomore setter Alexis Bell (Salem, CT) had 86 total assists on the day, while senior outside hitter Mary Kate Reidy (Agawam, MA) tallied 39 kills on the day.

    WESTON, Mass. – Mount Ida College fended off a 1-0 deficit and came back to beat Regis 3-1 in a Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) women's volleyball match on Wednesday evening at Higgins Court. The Mustangs leveled their GNAC record to 2-2 by beating the Pride with scores of 16-25, 29-27, 26-24 and 25-9.

    BOSTON, Mas. -- The Mustangs picked up their first Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) win of the year as sophomore setter Lex Bell (Salem, Conn.) broke a program record with 50 assists in a five-set win over the Saints, the first win against Emmanuel in seven tries for Mount Ida.
